These sweet treats are so beautiful. It's a perfect dessert for any party, not only do they look great on display, but it's easy to pick up and enjoy. It's a great amount of "apple pie" and it's pretty mess free!
Ingredients:
1 package of Puff Pastry, thawed
3 Red Apples
Juice of half Lemon
1 tbsp of Flour, to sprinkle the counter
3 tbsp of Apricot Preserve
2 tbsp of Water
Cinnamon
Powdered Sugar for decorating
Instructions:
Thaw the puff pastry at room temp for about 20-30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Fill a microwavable safe bowl with cold water and a juice of half a lemon.
Cut the apples in half, remove the core and cut the apples in paper-thin slices and place them into the lemon water.
Microwave the apples for about 3 minutes and drain, set the apples aside.
On the counter, sprinkle some flour and roll out the dough to about 12x9 inch and cut the dough in 6 strips each, for a total of 12 strips.
In another small microwavable safe bowl, add apricot preserve and 2 tbsp water and microwave for 1 minute.
Spread a thin layer of the preserve on each strip, make sure to cover the entire dough.
Arrange the apples on the dough, overlapping one another, make sure the skin side of the slices stick out of the strip. Sprinkle with cinnamon and fold up the bottom part of the dough and slowly start rolling the dough.
Place each apple rose into a greased muffin/cupcake pan.
Bake all 12 roses for 40-45 minutes.
Take them out of the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve!
