This is hands down one of my favorite dim sum sauces. It's so good, I'm wishing I had made more. It's pretty simple but so flavorful. I saw it on tiktok so just had to try it and share it here! I just bought a bunch of the Trader Joe's Steamed Chicken Soup dumplings, (you can use any dim sum item really) and steamed them up and drizzled this sauce on top and just couldn't stop eating them! I hope you enjoy.
Ingredients:
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
1/4 cup of Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
Drizzle of Sesame Oil
Chili Oil, desired amount
Dash of sesame seeds
Garnish:
Green Onions, chopped
Birds Eye Chili, chopped (desired amount of spiciness)
1 Shallot, sliced and fried
1 inch Ginger, thinly sliced
Instructions:
Slice up your garnish and set aside.
Take the shallots and lightly fry them up with a little bit of oil on medium high. It should take no more than a minute, keep an eye on them and continue to stir until they are nice and crispy but don't burn them!
Steam your dumplings according to the package instructions. While they are steaming, mix all the sauce ingredients together.
Plate your dumplings, drizzle the sauce on top, sprinkle your garnish and enjoy!
