Cajun Shrimp Linguine

Writer's picture: MickeyMickey

This is a common dinner at my house. Sometimes I just want pasta, and this takes NO TIME to make. I usually keep frozen shrimp in the freezer and always have pasta in the pantry. I recommend getting the already deveined and shell off shrimp, you can get these at any grocery store. It makes it so much easier! I like to add green beans and garlic toast as my sides, it makes for a nice complete meal.

Ingredients:

8 oz Linguine

1 tbsp Olive Oil

1/2 tbsp Salt

Water for boiling

1 stick of Butter

6 cloves of Garlic

15 - 20 Shrimp

1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning

1 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Garlic Powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

Juice of 1 Lemon

Parsley for garnish

Parmesan Cheese and Red Pepper Flakes for additional garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the linguine to package instructions, with olive oil and salt. Once al dente, drain and set aside.

  2. Heat a large skillet on high, and melt the stick of butter. Add in the garlic and saute for a minute.

  3. Add in the shrimp and cook until pink, add in all of the seasoning and continue to let simmer, once the shrimp is cooked add in the linguine and juice of one lemon and stir until completely coated.

  4. You can add parsley, Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes to complete the dish.
