This is one of my husbands favorite dishes, but I've never attempted it before. I was a bit nervous because I didn't want to ruin it for him! It was surprisingly simple and came out so good! It's not overly sweet and soaking in the sauce (which I always hate) so it was just how I liked it too!

Ingredients:
1 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Walnut Halves
3 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp Honey
1 1/2 tsp Condensed Milk
1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
1 large Egg, beaten
1/2 cup Cornstarch
Instructions:
Add water in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add sugar and stir constantly until golden and it starts to thicken. Turn off the heat, add walnuts and toss to combine. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined plate.
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, honey and condensed milk and set aside.
Season shrimp with salt and pepper, to taste.
Dip the shrimp into the egg. In a medium sized bowl, add your cornstarch and coat each piece of shrimp.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Working in batches, add the shrimp to the skillet, and fry until evenly golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
In a large bowl, combine shrimp and honey mixture, top with the walnuts and enjoy!
