Jalapeno Avocado & Cream Cheese Wontons

Writer: MickeyMickey

This is like a California version of a jalapeno popper! I swear if you just add avocado to anything it because a "Cali" version. Either way, these are amazing. I couldn't stop eating them, my daughter told me to stop taking dinosaur bites! These would be perfect for a party appetizer.

Ingredients:

8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature

1 cup Mexican 4 Cheese Blend, shredded

1 Avocado, cubed

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1/4 tsp Salt

1 tsp Cilantro, chopped

3 Jalapeños, seeded and diced

1 package Wonton Wrappers

Vegetable Oil

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients together, minus the wonton wrappers and vegetable oil.

  2. Separate the wonton wrappers and place them, one at a time, in a diamond shape facing you. Moisten the edges with a little bit of water with your finger tips.

  3. Add 1 tsp of the mixture in the center and fold it in half to make a triangle. Make sure you press out all the air and gently apply pressure on the edges to make sure they are sealed.

  4. Heat up a wok with about 2 inches of vegetable oil, once the oil is hot, lower your heat to medium and place 4 wontons in at a time. You don't want to crowd them, cook each side for 1 minute then transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain.

  5. Serve these hot with sweet chili sauce or plain, everyone will enjoy them!
