I've never had Japanese Curry before, so my aunt made some. It was a pretty simple dish, but MAN was it good. We ate it with rice, but I bet it would be good with noodles or poured on top of Chicken Katsu. We used the Golden Curry Sauce brand, we got it at the Asian Market, but I'm pretty sure they have it at Safeway too!
Ingredients: 2 Potatoes cubed
2 Carrots chopped
1 Chicken Breast cubed
1/2 Onion diced
2 cloves of Garlic
Oil
2 1/2 cups of Water
Golden Curry sauce mix (option from mild to hot)
Instructions:
In a large wok, stir-fry vegetables and meat with a little bit of oil on medium heat for 5 minutes.
Add 2 ½ cups of water and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until ingredients are tender (about 15 mins).
Add four cubes of Golden Curry sauce, stir until curry mix is melted and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Serve w/ rice or noodles.
