Who doesn't love a good short rib? They are a little hard to find in the grocery store but I usually get mine at the Asian store. You can go really easy and buy a marinade in a bottle, but below is a good recipe to make it from scratch. It's delicious! You can add some chili garlic sauce to this to make it spicy, or you can dip it in while your eating!
Ingredients:
1 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 Pear cored and grated
1 Yellow Onion grated
3/4 cup Brown Sugar packed
3 Garlic Cloves grated
2 tbsp Sesame Oil
1/4 cup Mirin
4 lbs Short Ribs
Green Onions and Roasted Sesame Seed for garnish
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients together and marinate for at least 24 hours then drain from the marinade before cooking.
Cook in the oven for 12-14 minutes at 400 degrees then broil for 1-2 minutes OR heat your grill to medium high and cook for 4 minutes on each side.
Garnish and serve!
