Loaded California Cheeseburger

Sometimes you just want a good burger, and when we make them at home we load them up. What's the saying "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." Well this is that kind of burger. My parents were craving a good burger, so we whipped these up and they were super happy with them.

Ingredients: 6 Sirloin Burger Patties

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Burger Buns

Pepper Jack Cheese

Tomato, sliced

Lettuce

1/2 Yellow Onion, sliced

1 pint Mushrooms, sliced

Bacon

Avocado, sliced

Pickles, sliced

Pickled Jalapeno

Ketchup

Mustard

Mayo

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, fry up your bacon, remove and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet throw in the sliced onions and mushrooms and saute until the onions are translucent, remove and set aside. If there is too much bacon grease, remove some before you saute.

  3. Season your patties with the salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Heat up a skillet and grill the burgers to your preference. I like mine medium, about 3 minutes on each side.

  4. Once the patties are done, place the pepper jack cheese on top and let it melt.

  5. Toast your buns in a toaster oven, this is optional but i like the extra crunch.

  6. Now it's time to assemble. Place the lettuce on the bottom bun and place your burger on top and start stacking and enjoy!
