Seafood Boil

Updated: May 3, 2020

This quick and easy one pot seafood boil will always be a hit!

I always have a craving for this pot of goodness after a long day at a work event or on a hot summer weekend. It gets a little expensive eating out (with this much seafood) so making it at home makes it easier on the pocket books. You can pick and choose what seafood you want to add, this recipe works for whatever you decide - Crab, Shrimp, Crawfish, Mussels... or all! Ingredients:

1 Seafood Boil Bag

1 Lemon cut into 4 wedges

1 lb of Baby Potatoes 4 Ears of Corn (cut in half)

2 Crabs

1 lbs of Shrimp

1 lbs of Crawfish

14 oz of Sausage thinly sliced

Yummy Butter Sauce:

1/2 cup Melted Butter

2 tbsp Olive Oil

5 Cloves Garlic Minced

1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper

1/2 tbsp Paprika

1/2 tbsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tbsp Onion Powder

1 tbsp fresh chopped Parsley

1 tbsp fresh chopped Green Onions

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add the boil bag, some salt and pepper and squeeze the lemon into the water and drop in the peels. Let the water boil.

  2. Add in the potatoes and corn and let them boil for 10 minutes

  3. Add the crab and let cook for 10 minutes

  4. Add in the shrimp, crawfish and sausage and let cook for additional 3 minutes

  5. Turn off the heat and let everything soak for additional 10 minutes

  6. In the meantime, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the olive oil, minced garlic, old bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic and onion powder and salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Drain the seafood boil and transfer it to your serving bowl. Drizzle the butter sauce over the boil and garnish with the parsley and green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!
