Today was my first day back to work after a 2 week staycation. I needed something quick and easy for lunch before I try to dig myself out. I always crave noodles, so I made this spicy sesame noodles that took about 15-20 minutes. Super fast and super yummy! It's sweet and spicy and just wanted I needed today.
Ingredients:
1 lb Linguine Pasta
2 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/3 cup Toasted Sesame Oil
2 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce
6 tbsp Soy Sauce
6 tbsp Honey
Green Onions, garnish
Carrots, garnish
Peanuts, garnish
Cilantro, garnish
Sesame Seeds, garnish
Sriracha (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the linguine pasta based on package instructions, drain and set aside.
Chop your vegetables and set aside for your garnish.
While the pasta is cooking, combine the vegetable and sesame oil in a large skillet with the red pepper flakes and heat up until it's hot. Drain the red pepper flakes and reserve the oil in a small bowl.
Transfer the oil back into the skillet with the garlic sauce, soy sauce and honey and whisk together until it's fully combined.
Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss to coat.
Transfer to a large serving plate, garnish with green onions, carrots, peanuts, cilantro and sesame seeds and enjoy! I added sriracha and red pepper flakes for extra heat, but try the noodles first before adding, the oil is already a bit spicy!
