These are one of the best sugar cookies. They are smooth, creamy, soft with a slight crunch and just melts in your mouth! Pair it with a glass of milk and you'll be in heaven! They are super easy to make and only took about 30 minutes to make. We saw the recipe and Pinterest and Emily said "that looks yummy, can you make it." So I guess I had to!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, cubed
1/2 cup Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
1 large Egg
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Sprinkles
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare baking pans with parchment paper. Set aside.
Place flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in the bowl of your food processor. Pulse a few times to blend.
Add the butter cubes and cream cheese as well as the granulated and powdered sugars to the flour mixture. The butter and cream cheese should be cold, not room temperature. Pulse until it's well mixed.
Add the egg and vanilla and blend until the dough comes together.
Roll the dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon balls and then roll into sprinkles.
Place the cookies on the prepared baking pan, spacing 1-2 inches apart. Use the bottom of a glass to flatten the cookies to to about 1/4 inch tall.
Bake for 8 minutes until they look slightly under baked.
Allow to rest for 2 minutes on the baking pan. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
