My boss stopped by with a flat of super sweet and delicious strawberries. I didn't want them to go back, so his wife suggested we make ice cream. I LOVE STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM! I threw our ice cream maker canister in the freezer and the next day we were ready! Homemade ice cream in just 30 minutes, you can't beat it. This recipe was so easy to follow and I had all the ingredients already in the house. The end product was AMAZING, everyone approved!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Fresh Strawberries, sliced
1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1 cup Milk
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
11/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
Slice your strawberries and add them to a medium sized bowl with 1 tbsp of sugar and smash the strawberries, I used a potato smasher. Set it aside for about 15 minutes.
Whisk together the whipping cream, milk, sugar and vanilla extract until the sugar has fully dissolved.
Add in the strawberries and mix well, add to your ice cream maker and churn based on manufacturers instructions.
Once it's done, pour into a freezer safe container and allow to firm up a bit, about 2 hours then enjoy!
